amigas

Aunque los océanos y
los continentes nos separan,
Nadie puede separar nuestra amistad
Este vínculo tan fuerte que nació
en la ventana

Somos de distintas naciones y razas,
no de distintos sentimientos.
Me aceptaron sin conocerme.
El tiempo creció nuestra amistad.
Me consolaron cuando estuve triste.
Me acompañaron en situaciones difíciles.
Compartimos risas y llantos.
Cuando estuve a punto de caer,
me sustentaron,
Amigas, aunque lejos,
las llevo siempre en mi mente y corazón.
Siempre estarán presente.
Muy pronto inesperadamente,
nos encontraremos otra vez.
Amigas, amigas mías del corazón.
Las quiero

Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture ... Do not build obstacles in your imagination ... Do not be awestruck by other people and try to copy them. Nobody can be you as efficiently as you can. ~ Norman Vincent Peale 1898

~ Happiness is as a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which, if you sit down quietyly, may alight upon you. ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne 1804

Dedicated to my little Nadia.

Slipping Through My Fingers

Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that Im losing her forever
And without really entering her world
Im glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sleep in our eyes, her and me at the breakfast table
Barely awake, I let precious time go by
Then when shes gone theres that odd melancholy feeling
And a sense of guilt I cant deny
What happened to the wonderful adventures
The places I had planned for us to go
(slipping through my fingers all the time)
Well, some of that we did but most we didnt
And why I just dont know

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers...

Slipping through my fingers all the time

Schoolbag in hand she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile...

me gusta esta cancion entre tantas otras

Siento que te conozco hace tiempo,
de otro milenio, de otro cielo.
Dime si me recuerdas aun,
solo con tocar tus manos
puedo revelarte mi alma.
Dime si reconoces mi voz...

Ye, yeh, yeh, eh...

Siento que me desnudas la mente,
cuando me besas en la frente.
Dime si traigo marcas de ayer.
Solo con tocar tus manos
puedo revelarte mi alma.
Dime si reconoces mi voz...

Ye, yeh, yeh, eh...(bis)

Siento que te conozco,
y siento que me recuerdas,
dime si reconoces mi voz.

Ye, yeh, yeh, eh...

Siento que te conozco,
siento que me recuerdas
Dime si reconoces mi voz......
